Finished

Isn't she cute?
Reminds me of the fairies on True Blood.
I wonder if they read romance!
**********
Good news! I finished my new W.I.P.
"Dagger's Lust"
I have a few edits to put on it, and then I can start pitching it after I get the query and synopsis done.
"Dagger's Lust" is my first erotic romance novella. And I have to admit, with a little bit of conceit, that I did a good job with this one. Its fantasy filled, with werewolves, dragons and witches.
****
My husband says I've gone to the dark side. hahaha,,, in reality he truly does like the story. It's amazing the types of issues one has to deal with when deciding to write erotica, but actually, it was fun. I can't wait to start a new one. Lots of ideas, just itching to get put down on paper.

Robert Bloeser Oil Painting

For all my art loving friends, here's a rare find. I've listed a beautiful Robert Bloeser painting. Check it out. Not only is this a beautiful ocean painting, but it's also romantic.

Maya Banks

I'm reading "Coulter's Woman: Coulter's Legacy" by Maya Banks.
I'm stuck on one word WOW...

Mind you, this book is erotica, so don't take my response as my way of telling you to read it. But, for those of you out there who like erotica, this is a fun book. Maya Banks is a master.

Yesterday I added Facebook pages for all of my books. Even my January 2012 release "Crystal Dreams" I hope you will all take the time to LIKE, each page. Visit my web-site for the like buttons, or just visit me on Facebook.

Have a super day,

What's On Your Bucket List???

It's amazing how many bucket lists are out there? Have you written yours? What are you waiting for?

A bucket list does not mean you are ready to pack it all in and die. It's really just means for us to put down on paper what we would like to achieve before we "Kick The Bucket". So go ahead.....

Book that trip.
Volunteer.
Start a business.
Write your book.
Do something NOW! Don't wait....
Make your Bucket List – Then do 1 thing.
Then the next.
Then the next.

Why not me?

Do you ever wonder why you weren't invited?

I think we all must have asked ourselves that question. Some event comes up that excites us, and we wait in anticipation for the big invite that never comes. Disappointment takes over our emotions, and then anger develops as we wonder why we were left out. And we ask,,, why not me?

I think as authors, we have all dealt with this in one way or another. We submit our query letters and we wait. Then when the invitation to submit our manuscript does not come, we feel let down.

An invitation to a party we just knew we should have been invited to, is about the same as an invitation to submit our work to an editor.  The disappointments are the same and the rejection is the same. But god love us all, we are strong. One rejection, whether it be from that long awaited party, wedding, baby-shower, or manuscript,,,,  should not rule our day.

Get up, get dressed, write-write-write,,, and have a great day...............

Sierra Sky Ranch & The Hangover 2

Went with some friends and saw "The Hangover 2" It was absolutely hilarious but really way over the top.... I cant wait to see what they do with #3 it can only be about Allen.... haha

Also, I took my husband to the Sierra Sky Ranch for our anniversary Monday night. I highly recommend the place. We were treated like the queen and king of the ball. If you are ever in the need of a place to stay in Oakhurst CA, drop in and say hello. Oh, and did I say it was haunted?????

Tuesday's in Margaritaville..............

Today is the seconda day of my weekend. Yahooooooo,,, Hopefully I'll get in a few hours of writing time.

Sit back, sip a cool glass of iced tea (or a frozen margarita) whichever I'm in the mood for,,,, eat some yummy Mexican food with a few friends and dream about that illusive love scene that keeps managing to escape me.

Have a great day, and here's one for the road,,,,,,,,

Margaritaville,,,,, here i come........

Are You Ready?

According to Harold Camping, today at 6:00PM it is doomsday. And according to the CDC, there are ways to survive Zombie infestations.
Who knew?

Have a wonderfully beautiful day. When 6:00PM rolls around step outside and throw your neighbor a kiss.
If the predictions come true it was nice knowing you.....and I'll see you on the other side. :-)

Who's Point Of View Is It Anyway? And What About That Attitude?

Lately, I’ve found myself writing my romance novels from the hero’s POV. Not that that is really odd. But it made me think about other authors and how they write. One of my favorite romance authors is ‘Lisa Kleypas’. I love most of her books, but steer more toward her regencies. I have read books where she writes in the hero’s POV and visa-versa. In either case, I think she is fabulous at making the switch. It is an art for sure. One I hope to master.
Along another line, what do you think about attitude when it comes to characters? Have you ever just despised a character for their attitude? Or not been able to fall in love with a character because of their attitude? Was it the hero or the heroin? How do we actually judge a character when they have an attitude we just do not like. I mean, if I like the book, I will finish the story and understand that a characters attitude is part of what makes him or her interesting, despised or both . I suppose it all boils down to the complete story. Before judging a characters attitude, we really do have to wait until the end.

Good Night!

Yosemite Romance Writers VP

Hello,
Today I was elected V.P. of my local RWA chapter (Yosemite Romance Writers)YRW
It was wonderful to have my co-members elect me, and to know that they have trust in me to do the job.
I know the position will keep me busy with the group, and I look forward to the challenges throughout 2011.
Sheri Humphreys was elected president, and to her I give my congratulations, as well as all of our other new elected. I look forward to working with all of them.

We also did story book mapping for our current W.I.P's. and I have to say that it was quite fun. It was a little fast paced which made it a challenge. But what a blast!

Sheri recently made a trip to Aswan Egypt ( I am very jealous :-/ ) and she brought me two books that will be helpful with my manuscript "A Pharaoh's Kiss" THANK YOU Sheri!

Have a great night!
